A franchisee for the fast-growing Playa Bowls chain has found a new location in downtown Morristown, in a transaction brokered by Kraft Development II.
The operator, Robert Howell, is relocating to 10 North Park Place from an existing space in the central business district. Its new 2,000-square-foot home will be directly opposite the historic Morristown Green, providing added exposure for the acai bowl and smoothie shop.
David Hellman of Kraft Development II represented Howell, having also completed leases for the franchisee in Holmdel and Florham Park. JLL’s Blake Shanaphy and Marta Villa, formerly of JLL, represented ownership.
“I am stoked to be the first new retail tenant on North Park Place in several years,” Howell said. “Our relocation to the focal point of Morristown, directly on the Green, will allow us to be within easy reach from South Street, the courthouse and Morris County government offices, and several major redevelopment projects nearby. I look forward to other tenants joining Playa Bowls on North Park Place.”
