Sax LLP, the Parsippany-based accounting, tax and business advisory firm, has named a new chief financial officer.
The company this week said Nicholas Valentini joined its team in late December, bringing more than a decade of professional experience and extensive accounting knowledge. He did so after serving as CFO at a Top 50 accounting firm and will be responsible for all facets of finance and accounting practices for Sax, including financial reporting, forecasting strategies and budget management.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nicholas to the team as our new chief financial officer who further strengthens our C-Suite team,” said Joseph Damiano, Sax’s CEO and managing partner. “With his demonstrated knowledge and experience, he will be a crucial asset to Sax as a key player in our firm’s finance team and ongoing contributor to our strategic plans as we work towards our growth goals.”
The firm, whose key practices include commercial real estate and construction, will also work closely with management in planning its strategic growth, according to a news release. In addition to guiding the development of new and effective systems and processes within the company to bolster productivity and efficiency, he will help ensure its overall financial health.
“I am delighted to be a part of Sax’s leadership team in this important role of the firm,” Valentini said. “Sax is truly a quality firm with an amazing culture and is growing rapidly. It is really exciting to now be a part of it, and I look forward to working alongside the firm’s executive team and using my prior experience to propel Sax’s financial wellbeing.”
