The construction team for nearly 200 new upscale apartments in Jersey City is eyeing a spring 2025 delivery as it prepares to mark a key milestone for the project.
Highrise Construction Solutions Inc., the contractor for developer Manchanda Group LLC, said it broke ground at 166 Van Reipen Ave. in late May 2023. The team is now set to mark the completion of the building’s 13-story steel frame with a ceremony slated for Oct. 10.
Plans call for 196 rentals with ground-floor retail space and a series of resident amenities.
“This milestone is a testament to our commitment to quality, innovation and timely project delivery,” said Juned Quazi, president of Highrise Construction Solutions. “We are thrilled to be working alongside the Manchanda Group to bring this vision to life and continue our mission of elevating urban development in Jersey City.”
With an estimated 24-month construction schedule, the project is rising just off Tonnelle Avenue, steps from the city’s India Square and about a half-mile from the Journal Square PATH station. The design team includes Mastropietro Architects Atelier and Emara Ghobrial Architects, according to Jersey Digs, which noted that the site previously housed a vacant building.
According to Highrise Construction, amenities will include a rooftop pool, a high-end gym, conference rooms and communal areas equipped with kitchenettes. The retail space is reportedly slated to comprise three units totaling 3,217 square feet.
