The developer of a new 336-unit luxury apartment building in Jersey City has listed the property for sale, having tapped RePropCo Capital Advisors to spearhead the offering.
Known as The Devan, the project at 3 New York Ave. opened last year on a site that is less than a mile from Hoboken Terminal and a short drive from both the Holland Tunnel and Interstate 78. That access has helped lure renters to the eight-story property, which has floorplans ranging from studios to three-bedroom homes and a long list of upscale amenities.
RePropCo’s Brian Whitmer, RJ Fischer, Nathaly Cardenas and Aislinn Cholet are leading the sales process.
“The Devan is a unique opportunity to acquire an apartment community that has been thoughtfully designed to be one of most impressive and well amenitized apartment communities in the submarket,” the listing team said in a joint statement. “The attention to interior and exterior detail, unit sizes that are above average in size, combined with a collection of communal spaces to fit a wide variety of resident interests make this community stand apart and hold a competitive edge.”
The property is notable for its proximity to the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail’s Second Street station, which is less than a half-mile away and connects riders to PATH, NJ Transit rail and ferry service at Hoboken Terminal. Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners, the building is also just west of the Hoboken border and provides renters with easy access to the city’s bustling downtown.
Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a courtyard, seating areas and firepits and a rooftop lounge with Manhattan skyline views and features such as a kitchen and grills, RePropCo’s said. Indoors, residents have use of a fitness center with a yoga and meditation studio, coworking and conference spaces, dedicated rooms for podcasting and card games and a children’s playroom, among many others.
Apartments, meantime, average 924 square feet and have upscale finishes, materials and appliances. The listing team added that some homes have private outdoor space.
