Atkins Cos. has expanded its property management portfolio with a five-building, 150,000-square-foot assignment on behalf of Rothman Orthopaedics.
According to a news release, Atkins’ day-to-day services at the medical office properties will include maintenance coordination, financial reporting and capital planning. That will ensure that each facility maintains strong performance and provides a high-quality patient and provider experience, the firm said, adding that its third-party management portfolio now comprises roughly 260,000 square feet.
“Decades of experience in health care property management have shaped our approach to operating well-maintained, high-performing facilities,” said Drew Atkins, a vice president at West Orange-based Atkins. “Our partnership with Rothman Orthopaedics reflects a shared commitment to spaces that support care delivery and daily operations, and we look forward to expanding our partnership.”
Atkins Cos. and Rothman’s relationship goes back nearly a decade, when the firms partnered in the development of the Rothman Medical Building at 243 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road in Washington Township. Completed in 2018, the building is anchored by Rothman Orthopaedics while also home to Jefferson Health and AdvoCare Premier OB/GYN of South Jersey.
“Our relationship with Atkins Companies is built on a foundation of trust, responsiveness and shared standards of excellence,” Rothman Orthopaedics CEO Mayange Kane said. “We deeply value their expertise in health care real estate and look forward to continuing our work together as we grow our footprint across the region.”
