March Associates has welcomed a new tenant to a Wayne retail center, leasing 2,000 square feet to a specialty fitness brand under a deal arranged by RIPCO Real Estate.
The operator, Pilates Addiction, will mark its first location in New Jersey when it opens its doors at The Yard at 1591 Alps Road. Its new lease provides it with a location along the busy Hamburg Turnpike retail corridor, at a signalized intersection, where it joins tenants including Crumbl, European Wax, GNC, Mathnasium and District Taco.
RIPCO Executive Vice President Curtis Nassau and Executive Managing Director Matt Grundy represented March, which completed the 10,500-square-foot strip center in 2024. The brokerage firm’s Florian Suserman, an executive vice president, and Samantha Zawadzki, an associate, represented the tenant.
“Hamburg Turnpike is a great place for a retailer to be,” Nassau said. “It is the internal epicenter of Wayne retail. It’s the conduit that connects a great mix of national retailers with the local population as well as Wayne’s four high schools, St. Joe’s Regional Medical Center, William Paterson University, hotels, office and the Ice Vault.”
Suserman added: “Samantha and I are thrilled to exclusively represent Pilates Addiction in their New Jersey expansion as demand for this high-quality Pilates studio continues to grow.”
Pilates Addiction is slated to hold a soft opening in March.
“We believe Pilates Addiction will be able to take advantage of Wayne’s dense population and strong incomes,” Grundy said. “With approximately 55,000 residents and between two and three thousand additional residential units in various stages of development, we expect the brand to be very successful at The Yard.”
