An importer of specialty food products has leased nearly 6,300 square feet of industrial space in South Plainfield, in a newly announced deal by Bussel Realty Corp.
The tenant, GMS Distributors LLC, will use the facility at 635 Montrose Ave. to support its growing warehousing and distribution operations for customers across the area. It will do so from a location that’s minutes from Interstate 287, providing easy access to the region’s vast highway network and key destinations, with 20-foot clear ceiling heights, 12 loading docks, 100 surface parking spaces and other features conducive to its business.
BRC’s Jeffrey Goldfinger represented GMS Distributors in the deal with Adler Development, the owner of the multitenant, 59,740-square-foot industrial property.
“635 Montrose Avenue checks every box for a growing distribution-oriented user,” said Goldfinger, a vice president with the firm. “The property’s location at the crossroads of central New Jersey’s premier highway network with direct access to I-287, the New Jersey Turnpike and multiple major arterials makes it ideally suited for a company that depends on efficient, timely delivery to retailers across the region.”
The broker announced the 6,250-square-foot lease while noting that GMS is a New Jersey-based importer and wholesale distributor of specialty food products, with a focus on South Asian grocery items, spices, culinary pastes and packaged food goods. The company sources products from India and other international markets, supplying retailers throughout the tristate region.
