A new sushi restaurant is coming to Route 3 after leasing 5,000 square feet at The Promenade Shops at Clifton, brokers with RIPCO Real Estate announced this week.
The operator, Shinjuku Station Revolving Sushi Bar, is slated to open later this year with what the listing team described as a unique, high-tech dining environment. That will include a traditional revolving sushi concept complemented by tableside robot service, offering a modern and interactive experience for guests while adding to the selection at the 145,000-square-foot lifestyle center at 850 Route 3.
RIPCO Executive Vice President Curtis Nassau and Managing Director Patrick Brake represented the landlord, Clifton Lifestyle Center LLC, in the transaction. Jiang Yifan of RE/MAX Real Estate Professionals represented the tenant.
“We’re excited to bring a dynamic and experiential dining concept like Shinjuku Station to The Promenade Shops at Clifton,” Nassau said. “This lease further enhances the center’s already strong merchandising mix and reinforces its position as a premier retail and dining destination in northern New Jersey.”
In a news release, RIPCO noted that The Promenade Shops at Clifton is home to tenants such as LA Fitness, Sephora, Ann Taylor Factory, J. Jill, Chico’s, Massage Envy and several others. The property benefits from its strong visibility along Route 3, one of New Jersey’s most heavily trafficked retail corridors, with some 130,000 vehicles passing daily.
With more than 650,000 residents and 550,000 employees within a five-mile radius, the center draws from a dense and affluent trade area, the firm added. The makes it among the busiest lifestyle centers in the United States relative to its size, the team said, citing data from Placer.ai.
“The Promenade Shops continues to attract innovative and high-performing tenants seeking strong visibility and traffic,” Brake said. “Shinjuku Station’s unique offering will complement the existing lineup and further elevate the overall consumer experience at the property.”
