A historic restaurant and event space in Tenafly is on the market for sale, providing what brokers say is a turnkey opportunity with everything down to the liquor license.
According to The Kislak Co. Inc., which is marketing the property, the 6,200-square-foot Demarest-Lyle House includes all furniture, fixtures, new kitchen equipment and an Airstream trailer with a bar. The listing team also touted its location in the heart of Tenafly, one of Bergen County’s most affluent and sought-after communities, and adjacent to the Tenafly Municipal Center and civic green space.
Kislak Senior Vice President Tom Scatuorchio and CEO Jason Pucci are leading the assignment.
“This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire an established, well-maintained and ideally located turnkey restaurant in Tenafly, which boasts extremely strong demographics,” Scatuorchio said. “The next owner-operator can be open and operating very quickly.”
Kislak noted that the established restaurant and event spaces include indoor seating for 172 and outdoor seating for 120. The half-acre site, which is a short walk from Tenafly’s downtown, also has 47 on-site parking spaces, electrical and plumbing upgrades and a full sprinkler system.
The borough has top-rated public schools, estate-style properties and leafy, small-town charm only 15 miles north of Midtown Manhattan, the listing team added. The Demarest-Lyle House, for its part, is seven miles from the George Washington Bridge with convenient access to routes 4 and 9W, Interstate 95 and the Palisades Interstate Parkway, while it’s minutes from the Hudson River waterfront and scenic Palisades overlooks.
