Urban Edge Properties has filled a key space while expanding the fitness lineup at a Middletown retail center, leasing more than 28,000 square feet to a concept known as Iron Revolution.
According to a news release, the operator will repurpose a former Big Lots store at Town Brook Commons at 754 Route 35. That will mark Iron Revolution’s second location and its first in the Urban Edge portfolio, the landlord said, noting that it joins Orangetheory and Power Core Studio as health and wellness users at the 231,611-square-foot center.
“We are incredibly proud and excited to bring our second Iron Revolution location to Middletown, NJ,” said Raymond Fennell, the gym’s owner. “Iron Revolution of Middletown will be a world-class 28,045-square-foot fitness destination featuring top-of-the-line equipment, an unmatched training environment and premium recovery amenities designed to create an exceptional experience for our members. Our goal is not simply to open another gym, but to have a positive impact on people’s lives and create a facility that our members are proud to be a part of for years to come.”
Mike Testa of Catalyst Real Estate Partners represented Urban Edge in the deal at Town Brook Commons, which sits between the Navesink River and Sandy Hook Bay and is minutes from the Garden State Parkway. Current tenants include Stop & Shop and Kohl’s, along with a mix of restaurant tenants and daily needs offerings.
Bernard Gutherz of Century 21 Action Plus Realty represented Iron Revolution.
“The Iron Revolution team delivers a top-quality experience in an unrivaled environment that appeals to avid gym-goers and fitness enthusiasts,” said Kyle Irwin, director of leasing for Urban Edge. “They attract a young, sophisticated customer base which will increase daily visits and customer traffic for all our tenants.”
