A local supermarket operator has leased nearly 1,100 square feet at a mixed-use building in Union City, in a deal arranged by Cervelli Real Estate & Property Management.
The tenant, which was undisclosed, will occupy a ground-floor retail space at 4524 Bergenline Ave. that drew interest from several area businesses, according to a news release. That’s due in part to its proximity to the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station, providing strong foot traffic and access to a dense residential customer base.
Cervelli’s Mario Lo Schiavo brokered the 1,050-square-foot transaction, noting that the operator is leasing the space at $51 per square foot.
“Bergenline Avenue in Union City is one of the most active and sought-after retail corridors in Hudson County,” said Chris Cervelli of Cervelli Real Estate & Property Management. “When quality space becomes available here, the market responds quickly. This tenant is well positioned to serve the neighborhood and benefit from the corridor’s consistent demand.”
