EisnerAmper has tapped Partner Christopher Stoop as the New Jersey industry growth leader for the global business advisory firm’s real estate practice.
In his new role, Stoop will complement EisnerAmper’s national real estate group with a dedicated focus on the Garden State, identifying relevant solutions and adding value for clients and prospects to strengthen its presence across the region, according to a news release. He assumes the post with more than 15 years of experience and a history of planning, supervising and executing financial statements and other audit-related services in accordance with the firm’s professional standards.
To that end, his expertise includes assisting organizations with regulatory reporting, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, real estate investment trusts and managing audits in accordance with Public Company Accounting Oversight Board standards. Stoop also performs attest services for private clients that report under U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and income tax basis.

The firm added that Stoop, who is based in the firm’s office in the Iselin section of Woodbridge, helps clients navigate New Jersey’s payment in lieu of taxes and Aspire tax credit programs to help organizations with real estate development projects.
