Christian Walsifer

The Blau & Berg Co. is remembering Christian Walsifer, a longtime and highly respected broker with its Short Hills-based team, who died last week at age 48.
Walsifer, a father of four, passed away peacefully on July 7 at his home in Parsippany, according to an obituary shared Tuesday by the firm. It’s now remembering a colleague and friend who joined its team in 2006 and “quickly became a respected and steady presence,” rising to the principal level as a broker in the industrial and commercial sectors and becoming a member of the prestigious Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
Blau & Berg announced his passing with “profound sadness.”
“As a Senior Executive Director, he carried himself with quiet strength and calm demeanor that earned him the deep respect of both colleagues and clients alike,” the firm wrote on LinkedIn. “His commanding presence was felt in every room, whether he was speaking or not.
“Above all, Christian was a devoted father to his four children: Kylie, Keira, Kamryn, and Colton.
“Our thoughts are with his children and family during this difficult time.”
According to the obituary, the Newark native was raised in Clifton and later lived in Lincoln Park and Boonton Township before moving to Parsippany a year ago. Walsifer earned his bachelor’s from the Rutgers University School of Engineering and built a distinguished career in commercial real estate with Blau & Berg, where he was respected for his leadership, professionalism and dedication to clients and colleagues.
“Outside of work, Christian embraced life with enthusiasm,” his family wrote in the obituary. “He loved fishing, snowboarding and spending time in Vermont. Above all else, his greatest joy was being a father. Whether cheering from the sidelines at a sporting event or simply spending time together, his children were the center of his world. His unwavering love, encouragement and devotion to them will remain his greatest legacy.”
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Wednesday, July 15, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Norman Dean Home for Services at 16 Righter Ave. in Denville. Graveside services will be held Thursday July 16, at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton.
