A communications firm has moved its headquarters within Morris County, having signed a new 10,000-square-foot lease in Hanover with Bergman Real Estate Group.
The firm, SCG Advertising + Public Relations, said it relocated to 100 South Jefferson Road in the township’s Whippany section after 15 years in Parsippany. Its new home sits within the two-building, 172,000-square-foot complex known as Jefferson Plaza, providing it with 16 offices, a board room and additional conference and common spaces.
“Jefferson Plaza provides us with a host of amenities, while ensuring we can get anywhere in the region rather quickly,” said Val Doyle, SCG’s chief financial officer. “That’s an important consideration related to our clients, as well as to key meetings and events. As examples, we’re a 45-minute drive from midtown Manhattan, about 35 miles from New Brunswick, and can be in Philadelphia in less than two hours. And Newark Liberty International Airport is only about 25 minutes away.”
Prior to 2006, when it moved its corporate office to Parsippany, SCG had multiple locations in Livingston, including two suites in Regent Park just off Route 10. The agency formerly known as The Cherenson Group is a woman-owned business, offering services such as advertising, public relations, recruitment communications, web and interactive media, research, and association management.
In addition to its New Jersey locations in Whippany and Haddonfield, it maintains satellite offices in Atlanta, San Diego and Tampa.
“Whether members of our agency team are focusing on advertising, public relations, social media, or some combination of communication disciplines, they’ll benefit from our new office environment,” SCG Executive Vice President Mike Cherenson said. “Our business requires significant internal collaboration, and this new location naturally encourages connectedness, with a number of conference and gathering spaces in our suite, plus multiple common areas throughout the building.”
Following a recent series of upgrades, Jefferson Plaza features amenities such as an on-site café, a fitness center with showers and locker room, an art studio and bike sharing.
