Urban Edge Properties has added two footwear retailers to its tenant mix at Bergen Town Center, its 1 million-square-foot mall property just south of Route 4.
The real estate investment trust said Aldo has leased 1,793 square feet at the property and is now open. Dream Pairs, meantime, will occupy 3,619 square feet when it opens early next year.
The businesses join several other classic, athletic and fashion footwear retailers at the complex, which straddles Paramus and Maywood, including Nike Factory Store, Adidas Outlet Store, Skechers and the recently opened Journeys.
“With Dream Pairs choosing this property for one of its first physical stores, we have further validation for our recent investments and continued focus on creating a must-shop-stop for the community,” said Paul Schiffer, senior vice president of leasing for Urban Edge. “Bergen Town Center has long been a compelling fashion destination, and with the addition of Aldo and Dream Pairs we now provide the best selection of footwear in the region.”
In a news release, Urban Edge noted that Aldo has more than 1,500 points of sale in more than 100 countries worldwide. Dream Pairs, meantime, offers men’s, women’s and children’s shoes under the Dream Pairs, Nortiv 8 and Bruno Marc brands and accessories and will mark its second brick-and-mortar location with the new space.
With tenants such as Whole Foods, Target and CVS and a host of other retailers, Bergen Town Center generates more than 11 million visits annually.
