The nation’s largest specialty cake company is coming to Howell after leasing space at a Route 9 shopping center, in a newly announced deal by Levin Management Corp.
According to the leasing team, Nothing Bundt Cakes will occupy 2,500 square feet at Aldrich Plaza in Howell, a 128,000-square-foot complex just south of Aldrich Road. The store will be the second location for its operator, which also has a shop in Toms River, offering handcrafted bundt cakes in a variety of flavors and sizes and retail items such as party supplies, décor and gifts.
LMC Leasing Representative Kendal Hand-Freda and Senior Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad represented ownership, while Mark Stanislawski of The Retail Strategy represented the tenant.
“Dessert-inspired concepts are a hot retail category,” Moawad said. “Within that segment, Nothing Bundt Cakes is an established, growing national brand with a strong following, and it’s a great addition for this center.”
Founded in 1997, Nothing Bundt Cakes currently operates about 500 bakery locations in more than 40 states and Canada, according to a news release. Its shop in Howell will join a mix of tenants including Walgreens, Retro Fitness, My Salon Suites and a host of other national and local operators.
LMC added that Aldrich Plaza serves a residential population of nearly 164,000 within a five-mile radius and sits within an affluent neighborhood boasting an average household income of $171,000 within a one-mile radius. The daily traffic count passing the property exceeds 38,000 vehicles.
