Avison Young has bolstered its team of New Jersey industrial brokers with the addition of a new vice president.
In a news release, the firm said Jimo Liu joins its ranks with more than a decade of commercial real estate experience. He is based in Avison Young’s Metropark office, with a primary focus on brokerage and advisory services for new and existing industrial clients throughout the New Jersey market.
Liu most recently spent nearly a decade with HHE Investment Inc., first as a director and then vice president, managing the firm’s real estate investments in the U.S.
“We are pleased to welcome Jimo to Avison Young New Jersey,” said Jeff Heller, an Avison Young principal and managing director of its New Jersey offices. “His years of experience and proven industry leadership make him an ideal fit for our team and his hire represents the latest step in our ongoing expansion and ability to attract top industry talent.”
Liu, who will be tasked with helping grow the firm’s overall regional brokerage footprint, has also been a business analyst with S&C, Wescott Financial Advisory Group and The MDE Group, the news release said. He started his career in investment management at The MDE Group, now Beacon Trust, where he was involved with portfolio management, risk analysis and asset allocation.
The broker has closed more than 450,000 square feet of industrial space transactions year to date in 2021, the news release said.

Liu graduated from Rutgers University’s School of Engineering with double majors in biomedical engineering and economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
