A barbershop chain has leased nearly 1,800 square feet at a mixed-use property in downtown Madison, brokers with JLL announced this week.
In a news release, the firm said it represented Kennedy’s of NJ LLC in the 10-year lease at 40 Main St., a two-story building near the intersection of Central Avenue. The tenant, a multistore franchisee and owner-operator, will use the 1,785-square-foot space as the third New Jersey location for Kennedy’s Barber Club.
JLL Associate Blake Shanaphy represented the tenant, while Glenn Beyer, a managing director with RKF, a Newmark company, represented landlord Hamlin Partners LLC.
“Kennedy’s Barber Club has two existing and highly successful stores in Summit and Westfield, with the Madison location being the newest addition to the chain,” Shanaphy said. “Ownership is planning on continuing its New Jersey expansion, and expects to open three to five new stores throughout 2019 and beyond.”
Kennedy’s provides signature razor shaves, massages, manicures, pedicures, haircuts, grooming and facials, according to a news release. Its new location is part of an 8,877-square-foot building in the borough’s downtown.
