Longtime retail broker Bill Lenaz has joined Bennett Realty & Development, marking the latest addition to the Holmdel-based firm’s fast-growing team.
Lenaz, who has more than 30 years of industry experience, holds the post of retail leasing specialist and will draw on his deep experience as an agent for both new development and existing centers, according to a news release. He will be an integral part of the firm’s retail team, Bennett said, adding that he is responsible for the leasing of more than 1 million square feet of shopping center space.
“I have known Bill for almost 20 years,” said Tyler Bennett, the firm’s founder and CEO. “During that time he has been one of the top retail leasing brokers in the region and continues to be today. He is the full package when it comes to all-things retail real estate. I’m delighted to have Bill on board who models our good-human first approach and am incredibly excited for the future.”
Lenaz has brokered leases with tenants such as Whole Foods, Best Buy, P.C. Richard & Son, Home Depot, Lowe’s and a host of others, the news release said. He has also completed deals with top pad site users, while he has inked more than 40 full-service restaurant transactions.
“I am very happy to join the Bennett team,” Lenaz said. “Tyler has built as impressive platform that provides every possible tool and resource that an experienced broker requires to keep up an active workload. In addition, BR&D has development and sales divisions to round out a truly rare vertically integrated platform.”
Lenaz has worked throughout the tristate area, having completed deals in New Jersey, Staten Island, Long Island and Westchester and Rockland counties of New York.
