David Iacobucci has joined Bergman Real Estate Group as a senior investment manager, the real estate investment and management firm announced Monday.
In his new role, Iacobucci will be responsible for asset management of the firm’s northern New Jersey office properties and for sourcing new capital to grow its investment and management portfolio, Bergman said. The 25-year industry veteran will be based in the firm’s headquarters in the Iselin section of Woodbridge.
“David is a well-respected industry veteran with a broad background in acquiring, capitalizing and managing investments in value-added commercial property in the New Jersey market,” said Michael Bergman, president of Bergman Real Estate Group, “and he will be a significant addition to our team as we continue to thoughtfully grow our portfolio and maximize value for our investors.”
Iacobucci has focused throughout his career on value-add opportunities in office and industrial property, Bergman said in a news release. He spent nearly 10 years at Baker Properties as division manager of the company’s mid-Atlantic region, where he was hired to open a New Jersey office and led the acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of more than 4 million square feet of industrial property.
Prior to joining Baker Properties, Iacobucci oversaw the successful repositioning and sale of an opportunistic office portfolio, the news release said. He also was responsible for the acquisition, development and leasing of several new build-to-suit and speculative office properties for a regional full service real estate company.
“Bergman Real Estate Group’s thoughtful and measured approach to value-driven acquisitions over nearly three decades, in multiple market cycles has resulted in its becoming a regional leader in office investment,” Iacobucci said. “The firm is well-positioned for continued growth, and I look forward to working with the team to manage their platform and to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the northern New Jersey market.”
Iacobucci is a graduate of Tufts University, a licensed real estate salesperson and a member of the New Jersey chapter of NAIOP.
