Development firm Blackstone 360 has leased 75 percent of a new 213-unit luxury apartment high-rise in East Orange, its fifth building along a key thoroughfare in the city.
Located at 258 South Harrison St., the 18-story property is about a 15-minute walk from NJ Transit’s Brick Church station, offering residents a mix of indoor and outdoor amenities such as a rooftop lounge, an outdoor landscaped deck and on-site enclosed parking. That has helped lure renters to the collection of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom homes, known as Allure 258, where monthly rents start from $1,850, with one month free.
All told, Newark-based Blackstone 360 has delivered some 900 new or updated units to a stretch of South Harrison Street over more than a decade.
“In many ways, Allure 258 is the capstone of what we’ve created here along South Harrison Street,” said S. Airaj Hasan, CEO and president of B360. “This is truly a Class A residential property in terms of quality, design, amenity programming and services, all near mass transit. We’re thrilled that it has resonated with residents who can live in more high-profile locations and have chosen to do so here.”
Designed by INOA Architecture, Allure 258 has a distinctive glass-clad façade and what the developer described as interiors with an industrial-luxe design. Other amenities include a high-end fitness center, a party room that can be reserved for private gatherings, a conference room and work-from-home spaces, while some units are available with outdoor terraces.
Ownership also offers shuttle service to Newark Penn Station, while the building’s location is about a half-mile from Interstate 280.
“Allure 258 was the logical next step for this neighborhood and our commitment to the area,” said Alina Zafar, director of marketing and corporate relations for B360. “Each new luxury property we introduced provided more evidence that we could build a strong, culturally diverse, highly educated, and professionally successful resident base here. Allure 258, our largest offering to date, has achieved more of the same.”
