A freight logistics company has leased nearly 200,000 square feet of industrial space outside Chicago, in a newly announced deal by The Blau & Berg Co.
The tenant, which was undisclosed, is leasing the space in Franklin Park, Illinois, under a deal with Prologis Inc. The Short Hills-based Blau & Berg team of Jason M. Crimmins, Alessandro (Alex) Conte and Peter J. Murano represented the occupier, noting that the deal will allow it to expand its business to the Midwest at a building that has 77 docks, 30-foot clear ceiling heights, 164 car stalls and 34 on-site trailer parking stalls with the potential to expand to 86.
Cal Payne of CBRE represented Prologis in the 197,000-square-foot deal at 3720 North River Road, which is a roughly 10-minute drive from Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
“This is a deal representative of how longstanding relationships can facilitate deals that might otherwise not come to fruition,” said Crimmins, Blau & Berg’s president. “We have worked with this client before, and they trusted our intuition. Our working relationship with Prologis and CBRE allowed us to both find and secure this ideally located facility in a very short amount of time, resulting in a deal that came together much more rapidly than would have if not for our history working with all involved parties.”
