A realtor has expanded to Long Beach Island with a lease at Walters’ newly constructed, 5,000-square-foot office building in Ship Bottom.
According to the developer, the Joy Bearden Group-Keller Williams Realty occupies 1,600 square feet of first-floor space at 701 Central Ave. The business is now open at the property alongside Walters’ custom homes division, including a sales and design center, and Walters Architecture.
“It’s the ideal location for us to continue our longstanding partnership with Walters and to better serve clients’ residential real estate, construction and investment needs on the island,” said Joy Bearden, founder of The Joy Bearden Group, who also maintains an office in Barnegat. “Walters builds incredible custom homes, offering a seamless in-house building process. Our new construction division supports that experience for customers by assisting with land purchases, selling and staging existing homes and coordinating closings.”
The Joy Bearden Group’s new office accommodates seven employees and provides a new location for Keller Williams, which has 11 branch offices in Ocean County encompassing more than 500 agents. Walters, which occupies the building’s second floor, shares a first-floor reception area with the realty group.
The remaining space on the ground level will house a restaurant that’s slated to open this spring.
“By choosing to build a presence on Long Beach Island, we are strengthening connections,” said Ed Walters Jr., founder and president of Walters. “We have known Joy and her team for many years, and they are an outstanding resource for our local clients and the entire community. We welcome them and look forward to a continued partnership for years to come.”
