The site of a warehouse and truck trailer storage facility in Linden has attracted a new tenant after recently changing hands, in a series of deals by The Blau & Berg Co.
According to the brokerage team, the property at 401 Commerce Road includes roughly 5,600 square feet on 1.625 acres and benefits from its proximity to Routes 1&9, the New Jersey Turnpike and Port Newark-Elizabeth. Blau & Berg’s Jason M. Crimmins, Alessandro Conte, Peter J. Murano Jr. and Michael F. Schipper represented the buyer in its purchase and a subsequent lease at the property.
“As demand for industrial outdoor storage in the port region continues to swell, sites like 401 Commerce Road are highly sought after by users and investors alike,” said Schipper, a senior executive director with the Short Hills-based firm. “This particular site was underutilized and upon presentation, our client immediately saw the value to be had. We were able to secure a tenant for the subsequent lease in short order, as the demand was plentiful.”
