The Blau & Berg Co. is touting strong activity at a Short Hills office building, where it completed five leases for nearly 23,000 square feet during the second quarter.
The brokerage firm serves as the leasing agent for the Short Hills Executive Center, an 83,430-square-foot property at 830 Morris Turnpike, on behalf of Stone Mountain Properties. The team announced new commitments including:
- 2,000 square feet by Blue Ocean Brokerage (represented by CBRE)
- 1,400 square feet by One Step Ride, an on-demand child transportation service (represented by Colliers International)
- 1,500 square feet by Socium, an outsourced partnership solution for the private equity industry (represented by Blau & Berg)
- 2,000 square feet by Summit Medical Group (represented by Blau & Berg)
- 16,000 square feet by Regus (represented by JLL)
“We are thrilled to deliver strong leasing results at the Short Hills Executive Center on behalf of Stone Mountain Properties,” said Jason M. Crimmins, president of Blau & Berg. “Our co-brokering approach with partners like CBRE, Colliers International and JLL has continued to expand our reach and lead to successful deals like our newest lease agreement with Regus.
“Given the continued rise in demand for co-working space in today’s office environment, Regus is a perfect match for the space.”
The Short Hills-based firm pointed to the building’s location just 19 miles from midtown Manhattan and 12 miles from Newark Liberty International Airport, along with its proximity to NJ Transit rail service and nearby retail. The four-story building also has a newly renovated lobby, an exterior courtyard and abundant covered parking.
“The recent leasing momentum at The Short Hills Executive Center is a testament to The Blau & Berg Company’s efforts and the high demand for this prime location,” said Ceyan Birney, president of Stone Mountain Properties. “Our distinctive office designs, accessibility to mass transit and Short Hills neighborhood connections have been essential elements in the allure to our boutique office building.
“We continue to see strong interest from a wide array of sectors and look forward to welcoming these new companies and others to the center.”
