A private buyer has purchased a 22-unit apartment building in Bloomfield for $3.65 million, according to a brokerage team with Hudson Atlantic Realty.
The firm, which announced the deal on Friday, said the property at 42 Park Ave. is in the downtown and within walking distance of two train stations. Adding to the appeal of the all-brick building is its on-site storage units and laundry, the brokerage said, noting that the collection of one- and two-bedroom units has a mix of hardwood flooring and tiled bathrooms.

“This boutique value-add multifamily property is located blocks from downtown Bloomfield and has direct train access to (New York City),” said Adam Zweibel, managing partner of Hudson Atlantic Realty. He added that such properties are in high demand but scarce, thanks to their proximity to New York City.
In announcing the deal, Hudson Atlantic noted that Bloomfield is home to a host of restaurants and shops and a large park system. Within a 10-minute drive are Bloomfield College, Mountainside Medical Center and Clara Maass Medical Center.
