A nonprofit has leased 4,300 square feet of industrial space in Pennsauken to support its growth and its mission of donating books to children throughout the region.
The organization, BookSmiles, has moved its headquarters to Crescent Business Center as a result of the deal by Vantage Commercial. The space at 7300 North Crescent Blvd. provides it with quick access to the Betsy Ross Bridge and routes 130, 73 and 90, allowing it to serve its target populations in Philadelphia and New Jersey.
Vantage Commercial’s Mike Gries worked closely with BookSmiles’ founder, Larry Abrams, to identify a property for the move. The brokerage firm noted that, since 2017, BookSmiles has donated more than three-quarters of a million new or gently used books.
“Larry’s excitement and dedication to an important mission is infectious,” Gries said. “It was a joy committing myself to finding the right location for them in an exceptionally thin industrial market.”
