BNE Real Estate Group has leased more than 50 percent of its new 245-unit luxury apartment property at the southeastern edge of Chatham, the developer announced last week.
According to the firm, the milestone comes just months after the debut of what’s known as The Ivy at 2 River Road. The five-acre property has attracted residents as a rare rental housing option in the Morris County borough, one that has more than 34,000 square feet of amenity space and is minutes from the downtown and its train station.
“Chatham is one of Morris County’s most desirable places to live, and it is just 23 miles from Manhattan, which makes it the perfect setting for the unique lifestyle opportunity The Ivy provides,” said Jonathan Schwartz, a partner at BNE Real Estate Group. “We are proud so many people are choosing to live at The Ivy, and we expect the strong leasing pace to continue as more renters from near and far are discovering just how much the community offers every single day.”
Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners, with interiors curated in partnership by Miami-based ID & Design International and Chicago-based Mary Cook Associates, the project has redeveloped a series of underutilized industrial parcels at the busy corner of River Road and Watchung Avenue. Monthly rents at the collection of one- and two-bedroom homes start in the $2,900s and $4,200s, respectively.
Amenities include three outdoor courtyards, a resident lounge with a private dining room and catering kitchen and a high-end fitness center with a yoga studio and virtual fitness technology, according to a news release. The Ivy also has spaces such as a coworking lounge with private offices, card and poker rooms, a game lounge and two multisport simulator lounges.
Outdoors spaces total roughly 18,000 square feet across the three courtyards and include a swimming pool, a host of seating and dining areas, an outdoor movie lawn and a covered outdoor lounge.
BNE is offering shuttle service to the nearby train station, while residents are also minutes from several major highways and the downtowns of Summit and Morristown.
