BNE Real Estate Group has taken the wraps off more than 400 luxury apartments as part of a sprawling redevelopment project in West Orange.
According to the firm, leasing is underway at what’s known as Stonehill, an elevated three-building property at 1000 Executive Drive. Monthly rents at the collection of one- and two-bedroom homes start from $2,630, with initial occupancy slated for April 1, as the developer looks to attract residents with more than 44,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity spaces and a location that’s 18 miles from New York City.
“At Stonehill, we truly set out to redefine what it means to live in luxury,” said Jonathan Schwartz, partner at BNE Real Estate Group. “Our vision was to create a next-level community that combines the creature comforts of home — generous living spaces, custom storage solutions, superior finishes — with the lifestyle perks of a five-star resort. Not only are our 44,000 square feet of amenities unmatched in the marketplace, but they are intentionally redundant and robust, so residents never have to wait their turn to enjoy them. The result is an unparalleled lifestyle experience, right at our residents’ fingertips.”
Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners, Stonehill is part of a larger project to revitalize a former office property in the township. That also includes the construction of a 1.5-acre public dog park built by BNE, which is slated to open this spring, as well as a new home for the West Orange Public Library that opened late last year.
BNE added that the adjacent Essex Green Town Center has undergone a substantial transformation, becoming home to 26 new retail businesses, including ShopRite, Starbucks, Petco, Panera, Total Wine & More and AMC Dine-In Theatres.
Chicago-based Mary Cook Associates designed Stonehill’s interiors, the developer said, noting that some homes include den and private outdoor space. Amenities include two on-site lifestyle clubs with social lounges, fitness centers and entertainment zones, as well as an outdoor swimming pool with private cabanas, coworking lounges with private offices, an indoor and outdoor movie lounge, poker and card rooms and virtual sports simulators, among others.
BNE also touted the property’s walking trails, private garage parking and complimentary shuttle service to NJ Transit. In West Orange, future residents will have access to attractions such as Turtle Back Zoo, Richard J. Codey Arena for ice skating and the Treetop Adventure Course for ziplining and rope obstacles, along with the South Mountain Reservation, the Eagle Rock Reservation and the Orange Reservoir Waterfront.
