Nearly 250 new luxury apartments are coming to Chatham under a soon-to-be-completed project by BNE Real Estate Group.
The developer on Wednesday said the property at 2 River Road will open for leasing this fall, offering a collection of one- and two-bedroom units and more than 34,000 square feet of amenity space. Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners, the complex known as The Ivy will also provide quick access to the borough’s downtown, NJ Transit rail service and nearby highways via Route 24.
Some homes at the six-story, 245-unit property will also have additional den space, BNE said.
“Chatham is the crown jewel of suburban living in New Jersey, and it’s about to witness the debut of an extraordinary community that surpasses all expectations,” said Jonathan Schwartz, a partner at BNE Real Estate Group. “The Ivy offers more than a home. It offers an opportunity for residents to embrace the exceptional lifestyle of this one-of-a-kind community while immersing themselves in the rich attributes of Chatham.”
Miami-based ID & Design International and Chicago-based Mary Cooke Associates spearheaded interior design of The Ivy, whose indoor amenities will include a co-working lounge with private offices, a resident coffee bar, a smart vending café and a modern fitness center, among others, according to a news release. Outdoors, residents will have access to a combined 18,000 square feet that includes three courtyards, a pool with private cabanas and dining areas and a covered outdoor lounge designed for year-round use.
BNE’s announcement Wednesday also highlighted Chatham’s walkable town center filled with boutiques and restaurants, along with its mass transit access and proximity to attractions in neighboring towns. Those include the downtown areas of Summit and Morristown, public and private golf courses and the Mall at Short Hills.
