A new Bojangles restaurant is opening in central New Jersey after securing a site in Piscataway, in a newly announced deal by The Goldstein Group.
The chain, which specializes in southern chicken, buttermilk biscuits and tea made fresh daily, will occupy 1.23 acres at 1000 Stelton Road where an Exxon station once stood, according to a news release. It will be among some 800 locations in 17 states for the eatery, which was founded in 1977 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Goldstein Group Executive Vice President Lew Finkelstein, Vice President CJ Huter and Director Chris Conway brokered the transaction, touting the site’s proximity to operators such as Shop Rite, Target, Walmart, Lowe’s Home Improvement and others.
“Bojangles is a new restaurant to the New Jersey market,” said Neil Goldstein, a principal with the Paramus-based brokerage firm. “There are many chicken concept restaurants seeking sites in New Jersey and throughout the country. This will be one of the first Bojangles locations in northern (and) central New Jersey.”
