A basketball training center has leased more than 8,000 square feet at a Toms River shopping center, according to a brokerage team with Bussel Realty Corp.
The operator, TakeFlight Basketball LLC, is joining the 241,333-square-foot Indian Head Plaza alongside anchor tenant Home Depot and several others, BRC said. It will occupy 8,179 square feet at 1256 Indian Head Road under the deal with JJ Operating Inc., the landlord.
“It was a pleasure identifying the ideal location for TakeFlight Basketball at Indian Head Plaza and working with the professionals at JJ Operating Inc. to secure the space,” said Michael Costa, a sales and leasing adviser with Edison-based BRC. “TakeFlight Basketball’s expansion into a prime market space with ideal features will help ensure success for years to come, and I look forward to a future longstanding relationship with JJ Operating Inc.”
Costa represented TakeFlight Basketball in the deal, noting that its new location sits at the busy intersection of Indian Head Road and Route 9, which is just off the Garden State Parkway. It also joins major retailers such as Dollar Tree, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Bury the Hatchet and Wells Fargo, while the area has a daytime population of 167,332 in a five-mile radius.
