An e-commerce business inked a full-building, 18,000-square-foot lease at a Linden industrial building, brokers with Bussel Realty Corp. said Monday.
The industrial brokerage announced the deal at 607 East Edgar Road after representing both the landlord, Academy Realty Group LLC, and the tenant. BRC did not identify the tenant by name, but said it is based in Brooklyn.
Senior Vice President Jordan Metz completed the deal for Edison-based BRC, touting the site’s location off Route 1&9 and access to the New Jersey Turnpike, Port Newark-Elizabeth, Newark Liberty International Airport and other key destinations.
“This transaction with a Brooklyn-based e-commerce company further illustrates the trend of e-commerce users leasing more and more space in New Jersey, especially near the ports and Newark Liberty Airport, since firms can reach New York City metro area customers overnight or within hours,” Metz said.
The property has 12-foot ceiling heights, one overhead drive-in door, wet sprinklers, 400-amp power and free surface parking, BRC said in a news release.
