R&J Strategic Communications has promoted Dan Johnson, who has spent nearly a decade with the Bridgewater-based firm and is a key member of its commercial real estate practice.
In his new role as account director, Johnson will be responsible for leading and managing the agency’s business-to-business account service team, according to a news release. He also joins the firm’s senior management committee and will assist in setting its strategic direction.
Johnson joined R&J in 2016 and most recently held the title of account supervisor, helping to serve clients such as The Hampshire Cos., Denholtz Properties, NAI James E. Hanson, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises and Fennelly Associates, among others.
“Dan’s strong leadership style and strategic thinking have made him a valued asset to his clients and colleagues,” said Scott Marioni, president of R&J Strategic Communications. “He continues to be an excellent role model for our account management staff and has worked tirelessly to promote the best interests of our clients. We look forward to Dan’s continuing contributions as he takes on these expanded responsibilities and assumes a position on R&J’s senior management committee.”
The firm noted that Johnson has been a significant contributor to its growth and success. He serves as a trusted counselor to some of the region’s most prominent commercial real estate and professional service businesses and leaders, the firm said, adding that he has been a key driver in expanding the agency’s B2B service line.
The Morristown resident is actively involved in Urban Land Institute and currently serves as the public relations chair for the Northern New Jersey chapter. He’s also the organization’s incoming co-chair and volunteers his time and talent with UrbanPlan, which offers an opportunity for high school students to participate in a hands-on, simulated real estate planning program while working side by side with leading industry professionals.
