Peter Bronsnick, SJP Properties’ president for the New Jersey region and a well-known commercial real estate executive in the state, is leaving the company after nearly a decade.
The nearly 20-year industry veteran, who was elevated to his current role in early 2020, is set to depart at the end of this week. He has not yet announced his future plans, but is expected to do so shortly and is leaving the firm on good terms after spearheading SJP’s office portfolio and other parts of its operation in recent years.
“Peter has been a valued member of the SJP Properties team for almost a decade,” Steve Pozycki, the firm’s founder and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “We’re proud of the contributions that he made to our organization, and wish him nothing but the best as he takes this next step in his career. As we look to expand our own portfolio, as well as our third-party development and asset management business, we’re actively recruiting for new talent to join our team and look forward to making an announcement on this front in the near future.”
Bronsnick’s departure comes after a year in which SJP broke ground on M Station, a two-phase office and retail project in Morristown that has a 110,000-square-foot commitment from Deloitte LLP. The first phase of the project, which will bring a rare infusion of new Class A office space to the state, is slated to top out in the coming weeks.
SJP has also continued to work on repositioning 200 Wood Ave., a 270,000-square-foot office building in the Iselin section of Woodbridge, after acquiring it early last year. The firm has also stayed active as a third-party developer and construction manager, having been picked by Eisai Inc. to build the pharmaceutical company’s new 300,000-square-foot U.S. headquarters in Nutley.
Bronsnick joined SJP in 2012 after positions at RXR Realty, Mack-Cali Realty Corp. and Newmark Knight Frank.
“The last nine years with SJP, working alongside the finest team in the industry, have been remarkable,” Bronsnick said in a statement. “I’ve had the privilege of collaborating on some of the most transformative and impactful deals in the New York Metropolitan Area, and I’m proud of the many successes this organization has achieved during my time here.
“I want to thank Steve Pozycki for entrusting me to help spearhead the company’s activities and growth over the last several years, and I look forward to announcing the next step in my career soon.”
