Dollar Tree has added to its growing footprint in the region with two recent lease signings in central New Jersey, brokerage firm R.J. Brunelli & Co. LLC announced.
In a news release Wednesday, Brunelli said it represented the chain in a 9,000-square-foot lease at The Marketplace, a 55,000-square-foot center at Route 34 and Disbrow Road in Matawan. The store opened in November, joining operators such as Tuesday Morning, Dress Barn, Carter’s and Harmon’s.
The brokerage also represents ownership at the property and recently brokered a 3,000-square-foot lease with Action Uniform Company. The store opened in October and is the uniform supplier’s fourth New Jersey location.
Brunelli, which is Dollar Tree’s exclusive broker statewide, also arranged the chain’s new 13,717-square-foot lease at Tano Mall in Edison. Located at Amboy and Pierson avenues, the new store is slated to open in March and will fill a space that previously housed a Rite Aid.
R.J. Brunelli & Co. President and Principal Danielle Brunelli brokered the transactions with Dollar Tree and Action Uniform.
The Old Bridge-based firm also announced Wednesday that Brunelli represented the landlord in a lease with Goodwill Industries, which is taking 12,816 square feet for a new store and donation center at Navesink Center in Middletown. Expected to open in February 2019, the store will occupy the balance of the Route 36 property’s former A&P supermarket space, joining a recently opened 10,920-square-foot Dollar Tree.
Elsewhere in central New Jersey, Senior Sales Associate John Lenaz completed two leases for Main Street Shopping Center, a new 13,800-square-foot property at Main Street and Old Stage Road in East Brunswick, the news release said. The operators, a Ten Dimes dollar store and full-service salon known as HairSpace, are slated to open in March and occupy 1,460 square feet and 1,407 square feet, respectively.
Lenaz also represented the tenants in both deals.
