A café operator has leased 1,200 square feet at a shopping center in Edison, under a newly announced transaction by Weiss Realty.
The brokerage firm said it represented ownership at Colonial Village Shopping Center, which sits at Route 27 and Parsonage Road, in the transaction with Frappe Joe’s Coffee. The tenant plans to open this summer under the long-term lease and is replacing a Starbucks that has relocated to a nearby drive-thru location.
Matthew Weiss of Weiss Realty, the center’s leasing and managing agent, completed the transaction on behalf of Colonial Village Associates LLC. Suketu Shah of Colliers International represented the tenant.
“We are extremely delighted to welcome Frappe Joe’s Coffee to our tenant rooster that includes a variety of shops and other fine restaurants including world famous and Zagat rated Loucas Italian Seafood, Brooklyn Boys Pizza & Deli, Meemah, the best local neighborhood Chinese food around, and Edo Sushi,” Jaime Weiss, managing member of Colonial Village Associates LLC and president of Weiss Realty, said in a prepared statement. “This lease will guarantee they will be able to serve Colonial Village tenants and visitors alike and the surrounding community for many years.”
Frappe Joe’s Coffee offers freshly baked goods, hummus and salads in addition to locally roasted coffee and beverages, Weiss said.
“Frappe Joe’s is owner operated and community minded and was seeking a space that was centrally located in a highly populated town,” Matthew Weiss said. “The Shoppes at Colonial Village offer an ideal location for retail and professional office tenants” commented Matthew Weiss.”
