Casio America Inc. will lease nearly 35,000 square feet of office space across two new locations, including a headquarters in Jersey City and an operations center in Rockaway Township, as part of a plan announced this week to reconfigure its footprint in the region.
The global electronics company on Wednesday said it was seeking to modernize operations, enhance innovation and position its business for long-term success. That includes establishing a new headquarters at 185 Hudson St. in Jersey City, also known as Harborside 5, where it’s leasing 13,647 square feet that will serve as a new sales and marketing hub.
Meantime, Casio has taken 21,388 square feet at The Mark at 100 Enterprise Drive in Rockaway, which will house finance, IT, human resources, customer service, legal and business administrative functions. The property is minutes from the company’s longtime corporate campus in Dover, which it now plans to sell by late 2025.
CBRE’s Mark Ravesloot, Robert Norton and Robert Stillman serve as the leasing team for Harborside 5, which is owned by 601W Cos. JLL Executive Vice President Chris Conklin, Executive Managing Director Dan Spero and Brokerage Coordinator Maria Ruberto represented Northbridge Capital, the landlord in the Rockaway deal, while Naoki Yamaguchi of Relo Redac Inc. represented Casio America.
“We are thrilled to welcome Casio America to The Mark, where ownership’s commitment to providing a best-in-class working environment has attracted leading companies from a range of industries seeking modern, high-end space in a prime property,” Conklin said. “Tenants in today’s market are gravitating towards properties like The Mark, with best-in-class amenities, professional on-site property management and a proactive and well-capitalized ownership group that can meet the needs of today’s tenants.”

In its announcement this week, Casio said its Jersey City headquarters will offer a modern, collaborative environment designed to foster creativity, adaptability and forward-thinking solutions. It will also benefit from its proximity to key business hubs that are rich with customers, vendors, talent and cutting-edge marketing and design resources.
The maker of watches and other products added that the new operations center in Rockaway will centralize and enhance operational efficiency across key departments. According to JLL, the company will occupy a third-floor space at The Mark, a newly renovated, 237,087-square-foot building that’s adjacent to Rockaway Townsquare and the Route 15 and Interstate 80 interchange.
The brokerage team noted that amenities at the property include a full-service cafeteria and business lounge with arcade games and a WiFi-engaged common area. There is also a multipurpose conference facility that can accommodate large events or can be divided into two smaller spaces, a gym with locker rooms and showers and covered parking.
Casio also announced plans for a new distribution center in Sparks, Nevada, that will strengthen logistics to support the growing demand for direct-to-consumer and ecommerce services.
“This is a strategic investment in Casio’s future,” said Tom Kato, chairman and CEO of Casio America. “By embracing modern work environments, expanding access to key talent and optimizing operations, we are ensuring Casio remains at the forefront of innovation, efficiency and long-term growth.”
