An appliance manufacturer has leased more than 65,000 square feet at a newly built warehouse in Piscataway, under a transaction arranged by CBRE.
The real estate services firm announced Tuesday that Fisher & Paykel is taking 66,375 square feet at the 277,830-square-foot property known as Centennial Commerce Center. The tenant, a subsidiary of Haier, will occupy the space at 800 Centennial Ave. starting this fall.
CBRE’s Mindy Lissner, Robert Pine and Ben Shapiro represented the landlord, Penford Group, an industrial real estate development and investment firm. Lissner is also part of the team representing Fisher & Paykel internationally and represented the company in the lease negotiations.
“Centennial Commerce Center, a new high-image, Class A warehouse, offers immediate access to all roadways serving New Jersey and the Northeast along with unmatched proximity to the seaport and airport,” Lissner said. “The property provides a diverse and top-tier labor pool in the surrounding area as well as many local amenities.”
Completed in 2019, Centennial Commerce Center offers immediate access to Interstate 287 via two four-way interchanges, along with proximity to Interstate 78, Port Newark-Elizabeth and Newark Liberty International Airport, CBRE said. The property sits on 19.4 acres, boasting 36-foot clear ceiling heights, a 140-foot loading court, 3,000 amps of power and on-site parking for 261 cars, with potential to construct an additional 205 spaces.
“This new state-of-the-art distribution facility was expressly redeveloped to significantly reduce the operating expenses of the new building and offer tenants exceptional savings,” said Pine, whose team is marketing another 79,650 square feet at the property.
