An exporter and a law firm have combined to lease more than 6,000 square feet at a Florham Park office building, in a set of newly announced transactions by CBRE.
In the larger deal, Hockman-Lewis is taking 4,600 square feet at 23 Vreeland Road, a 69,000-square-foot property owned by Eastman Cos. The law firm, Bakos & Kritzer, has committed to a 1,600-square-foot lease.
Eastman Cos. Director of Leasing Eric Maurer worked with CBRE’s Jonathan Meisel, Dan Casey and Erin Wenzler on behalf of ownership. Cushman & Wakefield’s Dylan Tusinac and David DeMatteis represented Hockman-Lewis, an international export firm, while Bakos & Kritzer represented itself.
“While just a handful of new office leases were consummated since March, our team was able to work with our client to get these deals across the finish line,” Meisel said. “In spite of the challenges due to the pandemic and statewide shutdown, Eastman Companies and CBRE worked closely with the tenants to ensure the lease transactions met all parties’ requirements.”
Located just off Columbia Turnpike, near downtown Florham Park and the Route 10 retail corridor, 23 Vreeland features a new tenant lounge, café, conference center and other upgrades after a renovation last year. Eastman has also remodeled the lobby, added free electric car charging stations and created a second-floor common area.
The two-story building offers proximity to Route 24, interstates 287 and 78 and the Garden State Parkway.
