German discount grocery chain Lidl has added to its footprint in New Jersey with the debut of a new 28,000-square-foot store in North Brunswick.
Levin Management Corp., which manages the Brunswick Shopping Center on Milltown Road, announced Wednesday that the grocer has opened its doors at the 288,000-square-foot property. The location is Lidl’s 10th in New Jersey and among more than 100 across nine East Coast states.
“The addition of this growing, sought-after grocer is an exciting win for Brunswick Shopping Center and area residents alike,” said LMC Senior Leasing Representative Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty, who arranged the Lidl lease as landlord representative. “As an essential category — and one that has proven to be Internet-resistant — grocery is a significant element and a tremendous traffic driver for any shopping center. Additionally, Lidl’s value-priced platform makes the brand even more desirable during this challenging time for many consumers.”
Brunswick Shopping Center sits just off Route 1, LMC said in a news release. Lidl joins a tenant roster that includes national, regional and local operators such as LA Fitness, Muscle Maker Grill, GNC and Dollar Tree, serving a population of more than 133,000 residents within a three-mile radius.
