Prologis Inc. has brought a new tenant to a Secaucus industrial building, securing a 115,000-square-foot lease with a third-party warehousing and logistics firm.
According to CBRE, which brokered the transaction, Global Interactive Logistics is relocating to 1000 New County Road from 123 Pennsylvania Ave. in Kearny. It’s also expanding operations as part of the move to the 525,224-square-foot building, which is minutes from the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 3.
CBRE’s Conor Dolan, Jeff Babikian, Nick Klacik and Kevin Dudley represented the tenant in the long-term lease, while the firm’s Larry Schiffenhaus and Tom Monahan spearhead leasing at 1000 New County Road on behalf of Prologis.
“GIL’s commitment to space in Secaucus speaks to the continued strength of the industrial market, despite some economic headwinds,” Dolan said. “Our client required additional space to meet its growing third-party warehouse and distribution operations and 1000 New County Road ideally met all of these requirements.”
Built in 1968, 1000 New County Road sits on 25.5 acres in the Meadowlands submarket, CBRE noted.
