CBRE is detailing plans for a new 415,533-square-foot industrial building under construction in Kearny, where it is serving as the leasing agent on behalf of Seagis Property Group LP.
The project, located at 50 Central Ave., is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2020 and offers a location two miles from the New Jersey Turnpike. CBRE will work on behalf of the developer to provide leasing and marketing services, as precast walls are now rising at the site.
Thomas Monahan, Stephen D’Amato, Larry Schiffenhaus, Anastasia Lazarides, Lauren Griffith and Gerard Monahan will spearhead the leasing agency for the real estate services firm.
“Seagis is one of the most respected owners of industrial real estate in the market with over 11 million (square feet) of space, and a significant position in the New Jersey and New York City region,” said Monahan, a vice chairman with CBRE. “We look forward to working closely with the Seagis team to market this new 40’ clear cross-docked warehouse facility in North Jersey.”
Plans call for 88 dock doors, four drive-in doors, 261 car parking stalls, 150 trailer parking stalls, modern sprinklers and secured parking. CBRE also touted the site’s easy access to Port Newark -Elizabeth and Newark Liberty International Airport, along with New York City via the Holland and Lincoln Tunnels.
