A national financial services firm has leased 7,600 square feet of office space in Morris County, in one of two newly announced deals by Chilmark Real Estate Services.
In a news release, the brokerage firm said the deal at 1200 Mount Kemble Ave. will provide a new home for Cary Street Partners’ growing New Jersey team. It is leasing the space from The Birch Group, which purchased the Harding Township building last March, and will look to open the new office later this year.
“Birch has successfully repositioned assets throughout the marketplace and has a very solid capital improvement plan in place, which was very appealing to Cary Street,” Chilmark’s Michael Witko and Ed Flanagan said in a joint statement. “Locationally, the building was an optimal fit given its proximity to Morristown and I-287.”
Witko and Flanagan, co-founding members of Chilmark, represented the tenant, while JLL’s Chris Conklin and Tim Greiner represented ownership. The in-house Birch Group team of Chris DeLorenzo and Dawn Arrabito also assisted.
Witko, meantime, also represented a national financial firm in a separate deal, at 67 East Park Place in Morristown, where the user is taking 7,100 square feet. The lease with Vision Real Estate Partners, the landlord at what’s known as 1776 On The Green, will allow the tenant to open its first New Jersey office and benefit from a vibrant downtown location.
Since acquiring the 146,000-square-foot building, Vision has added a street-level restaurant known as 1776 by David Burke, which features a Topgolf Swing Suite.
Vision’s Ryan McCarthy represented ownership in the deal, working alongside a leasing team with CBRE.
