A network of flexible workspace providers has opened a new location in Matawan, its latest in New Jersey and one of more than 70 co-working spaces in the U.S.
The operator, Office Evolution, has taken space at 100 Matawan Road to meet what it says is growing demand from small businesses in the area. The space is equipped with 35 offices and two conference rooms, providing options for professionals ranging from lawyers and accountants to startups and nonprofit organization employees.
Other amenities at the site include a community kitchen, phone booths, outdoor seating, a notary, nationwide access when visiting other Office Evolution locations across the U.S. and virtual services.
“Using Office Evolution is a more convenient way to do work, and in a post-pandemic world we’ve proven that individuals don’t need to go to a downtown office to do work effectively, but we also see that working from home isn’t ideal either,” Business Center Manager Alex Van Orden said. “The office space is affordable, professional and offers ways to connect within the community.”
Office Evolution, which bills itself as the largest provider of locally owned and operated flexible workspaces across the U.S., also has locations in East Brunswick, Somerville, Summit, Woodbridge, Clark and Hackensack. The brand’s nationwide presence has grown significantly, the organization said, as businesses of all sizes shift to flexible workspace to get out of the home while avoiding the expenses and restrictions inherent in traditional office space.
All told, Office Evolution has 73 other business locations in 25 states, according to a news release. The operator is part of United Franchise Group’s Coworks division, which provides the largest privately owned affiliated co-working network of flexible office space franchises in the world.
