A solar company has expanded its footprint in Metuchen by committing to an additional 18,000 square feet, in a deal arranged by brokers with Colliers International.
The real estate services firm said the tenant, Pro Custom Solar LLC, has outgrown its initial 35,000-square-foot space prior to signing the lease at 325 High St. Its expansion in the office and warehouse building, where it first signed a lease last year, is due to the need to house its growing workforce.
Michael G. Markey, Jon Tesser and Mike Tesser of Colliers’ Woodbridge office represented the landlord. Doug Twyman, also from the Woodbridge office, represented the tenant.
“This company has a high headcount of employees, and they were having difficulty finding a building with enough parking,” Markey said. “The additional 18,000 square feet of office space will help them meet the demands of their growth.”
The lease also comes a year after Pro Custom Solar announced a rebrand known as Momentum Solar, Colliers said. The rapidly growing company custom designs solar systems for residential and commercial properties, while also handling permitting and installation.
