A cosmetics and perfumes distributor will relocate within central New Jersey after acquiring a 75,000-square-foot flex building in Eatontown, according to the broker in the deal.
The buyer, Victory International, paid $5.5 million to purchase the building at 40 Christopher Way, according to Ray Smith of Stafford Smith Realty. Victory International is relocating from Edison to the property, which includes 45,000 square feet of office and 30,000 square feet of warehouse space.
Smith represented both the buyer and seller of the property, the former headquarters of the government defense contractor DSCI. The Shrewsbury-based firm marketed the property with Keen Associates for Bank of America.
“The building presented a considerable challenge to find the right buyer because of the very substantial office build out,” Smith said in a prepared statement. “In the end, the buyer who lives locally saw the value and is making adjustments to the building that will allow it to better suit his distribution requirements.
“It was an exceptionally clean and well-constructed building and the buyer recognized that.”
