Cushman & Wakefield has added to its team of retail brokers with the hiring of a new senior associate.
The firm on Wednesday announced the addition of Alana Friedman, a retail leasing specialist. She brings six years of industry experience and will be based in East Rutherford, with expertise in both tenant and landlord representation in New Jersey and the larger metropolitan area.
“Alana brings extensive knowledge, great energy and a passion for the retail sector,” said Andrew Judd, C&W’s New Jersey market leader. “She will be a great asset as we enhance our service to regional property owners and brands looking to enter and expand in the Garden State.”
Friedman most recently worked at RKF and was with The Goldstein Group prior to that. She is a licensed salesperson in New Jersey and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, for which she serves as a New Jersey committee member for its Next Generation Program.
“The move to Cushman & Wakefield is a natural step for me,” she said. “This company’s growing retail platform, the people here and the larger corporate culture are a great fit. Additionally, the state of retail in New Jersey — a market that is rich with opportunity — makes this an exciting place to be.”
Friedman holds a bachelor’s in communication studies from the University of Rhode Island.
