A cloud and IT services firm is on the move along the Hudson waterfront, having leased 12,000 square feet at a Jersey City office tower.
According to Cushman & Wakefield, which represented the tenant, Effectual is relocating to 111 Town Square Place from its previous location at 12 Hudson Place in Hoboken. Its new home is on the fourth floor of the 519,015-square-foot building, which is part of Jersey City’s iconic Newport neighborhood.
“We identified the optimal solution in Jersey City in a space that was truly turnkey, modern and efficient, with panoramic views of the New York City skyline all within one stop of the Hoboken Terminal and Christopher Street PATH Station with exceptional public transportation and bike access,” said C&W’s Mina Shehata, who arranged the deal alongside David DeMatteis.
The brokerage team described Effectual as an AWS Premier Partner offering cloud-first managed and professional services that enable IT modernization for commercial enterprises and the public sector. At 111 Town Square Place, the firm joins a tenant roster that includes Fortune 500 companies, with amenities such as a tech lounge, a tech workspace, multiple conference rooms and event space, as well as colocation and data center facilities.
“Jersey City is an ideal headquarters for a cloud tech company looking to attract and retain world class talent,” Effectual CEO Robb Allen said. “This expansion will enable us to meet the accelerating demand for cloud modernization services.”
