A United Kingdom-based maternity and children’s clothing chain has picked New Jersey for two of its first U.S. stores, including locations in Hoboken and Montclair.
Representing the chain, JoJo Maman Bébé, Cushman & Wakefield this week announced the two new leases for the boutique-style brand. The 900-square-foot Hoboken store, at 407 Washington St., opened in mid-June.
In Montclair, the operator has leased 1,850 square feet at 6 South Park St. and is scheduled to open July 13, C&W said. They are among the first stores in the country for the brand.
C&W retail leasing specialist David Townes represented JoJo in the two leases. Jerry Gustoso of Engel & Volkers and Neal Richards with Vanguard Realty represented the landlords in Hoboken and Montclair, respectively.
In a news release, C&W said JoJo offers baby clothes, quality kids wear and stylish maternity and nursing collections, along with gifts, toys and practical products. The 25-year-old brand has 90 stores in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
“JoJo Maman Bébé caters to midmarket demographics, and its first two New Jersey locations reflect the vibrant downtowns we are targeting,” Townes said. “These markets serve a population of young, growing families, which makes them great fits.”
